No Rain or Thunderstorms can Stop a Party Here, especially a free one!
We’ve been having a few severe thunderstorms here over the last coupla days. But in spite of the rain, we were still able to enjoy the sights, sounds, smells and tastes of our Hispanic neighbors, put on display this past weekend on River Street.
The event was the 3rd Annual Fiesta Latina, put on by the Latin American Services Organization. We were treated to dancers, singers, musicians and some tasty empanadillas. The crowd was tightly packed into the small stretch of River Street, but it everyone there seemed to have a good time…. makes me wanna brush off my conversational spanish skills again.
Peruvian musicians who found each other when they moved to Savannah… go figure.
A small part of the crowd on Saturday.
